Finding Inspirations and Solutions in Every Turn

Having spend almost two decades working in the Oil and Gas industries, right from the bottom being an assemblyman leader for oil and gas fields components to being a competent forklift driver to boarding and working on countless jack-up, semi submersible and drillship rigs in shipyards and international water, and together with the great guidance and opportunities given by his supervisors and managements, he rose through the rough and ranks to being a Plant Manager for an Upstream MNC and a Operations Manager for a Downstream MNC. He was brought into the renovation construction trade by chance and circumstances via his family business of forty over years. Since his secondary school days, he had already been helping his father type quotations using typewriters in those days. It was easy for him to pick up the trade in a relatively short duration after the initial twelve months renovation construction site works. Couple with his academics in Engineering studies and implosive exposure working at the different stages of hierarchy of well established MNCs, he was able to muster the expertise he had and made significant changes to the work culture plaquing the alma mater company. In 2021, he played the pivotal role in getting the Builder's License for his alma mater company, a significant milestone.

The founder and your Contractor is someone who believes strongly in continuous learning as trends and best practices fades and erodes over time and new methodologies and technologies enter the market.

On average since 2005, he will attend at least one course a year to upgrade himself and to keep abreast of new practices. He is also a member of both SISO and IES, two organizations that closely keep him updated on new code of practice or changes in legislations/regulations.

Our Story

CJ Renovation and Construction was setup with the sole intention of being ready for the next phase of Construction Industry be it in Singapore or regionally. We foresee a phase of leaner workforce but with higher percentage of qualified and educated contractors and tradesmen entering the market to meet with a similarly qualified and educated customer and client base. Customers and Clients knows what they want and they don't need designs that are 'force fed' to them. They just need someone to advise them can it be done, how will it be done and when it can be done.

Born into a family that dabbles with constructions sidekicks when jobs are hard to come by since his grandfather days, it was a great achievement that his alma mater company setup by his father was standing strong after 40 years. CJ Renovation and Construction is determined to continue the legacy and envisioned to be a niche contributor to the Construction industry in the Southeast Asia region.
